MSU Billings College of Business, Big Sky Economic Developement Authority and the MTIP will co-host the half day seminar created by internationally known entrepreneur and angel investor Bill Payne, a part time Montana resident, and Liz Marchi of the Montana Angel Network on financing a high impact venture.
“The entrepreneurial activity in Billings and in Montana continues to grow at an exciting pace. We are all interested in bolstering the eco-system for entrepreneurial development. Understanding the trajectory and path to finance is a foundation of building new enterprise” commented Dean Tim Wilkinson of MSU-B. Jeremy Vannatta, Director of Business Outreach at Big Sky EDA stated, “I am pleased to be a collaborator in bringing this opportunity to Billings for entrepreneurs and business people who want an inside look at how private investors evaluate a business investment. Montana Technology Innovation Partnership Director, Christine Bell, has attended the seminar and encourages entrepreneurs who want to understand how investors evaluate opportunities to take advantage of this opportunity.
Economic data continues to underscore the importance of new enterprises as a key driver of jobs. In response, the SWIB and GOED will make this seminar available to entrepreneurs across the state as part of Governor Schweitzer’s Innovate Montana Initiative.
