Takeda Vaccines (formerly LygoCyte pharmaceuticals), is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of vaccines that prevent human infectious diseases primarily in the respiratory and gastrointestinal markets. Takeda Vaccines is part of Takeda Pharmaceuticals’ Vaccine Business Unit (VBU) which was launched in January 2012. LigoCyte was incorporated in 1998 and acquired by Takeda in October 2012.
