Small Business Funding Webinar
February 3 @ 3:00 pm - February 8 @ 4:00 pm
Join Montana BioScience Alliance on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 3 p.m. ET for a small business funding webinar, co-hosted by the National Institutes of Health’s National Institute on Aging (NIA) Office of Small Business Research (OSBR), Idaho Technology Council, South Dakota Biotech Association, and Wyoming Small Business Development Center Network. OSBR Health Scientist Administrator Michael-David Kerns, M.M., M.S., Ph.D., will provide an overview of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, guidance on drafting a competitive application, and additional resources to advance your research to commercialization.
The Montana BioScience Alliance serves as a hub for Montana’s biotechnology companies, entrepreneurs, laboratories, hospitals, clinics, and universities to commercialize, grow, and sustain globally competitive bioscience companies — ultimately to create high-quality jobs and economic opportunity in Montana.
We invite entrepreneurial researchers, small businesses, and research organizations to learn how to tap into NIA’s SBIR/STTR programs, which can help accelerate research on innovations in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), AD-related dementias, and other diseases of aging.
The webinar will feature:
• An overview of the SBIR and STTR programs and benefits of funding
• Priority research interests for NIA-funded small businesses
• Tips for submitting a competitive application
• Upcoming funding opportunities and deadlines
• Other resources and programs
• Opportunities to discuss your application with OSBR staff
